1053-1132 Benedictine bishop of Grenoble, France, patron of St. Bruno. He was born in the Dauphine region and became a canon of the cathedral in Valence. In 1080, while attending a synod in Avignon, Hugh was named bishop of Grenoble. He attempted a massive reform of the diocese, but, discouraged, retired to Chaise Dieu Abbey, and became a Benedictine. Pope St. Gregoiy VII ordered him back to Grenoble. Hugh gave ST. Bruno the land on which the Grande Chartreuse was founded, thus starting the Carthusians. Hugh died on April 1 and was canonized by Pope Innocent II.

1 package lemon cake mix
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoonswater
1/3 cup of pecans (if you want them)
glaze:
1 lemon (or water)
1/2 cup powdard suger
preheat oven to 375F. Combine cake mix, egg, oil and water in bowl. mix till all is mixed. If you want pecans chop them with a food chopper and stir into dough. Put it in on a tray in the shap of cookies for13 min. or ontil lightly brown. let cool for 3min.With lemon: Remove 1 teaspoon zest from thelemon using lemon Zester/ Scorer. Use lemon Aid to remove 1 to 2 tablespoons juice from the lemon. Whisk lemon zest, lemon juice and sugar in a small mixing mixing bowl.Drizzle glaze on cookies on cooled cookies.With water: Mix water with suger till pasty.

1. 1 stict of butter.
2. 2/3 c. cocoa3.
3 c. powderd sugar4.
1/3 c. milk5.
1 tsp. vanilla
Melt butter. stir in cocoa. add powderd sugar and milk, beat on med. add a little speed to the eletric stirer. Add more milk if needed. add vanilla. Makes about 2 c..
